With support from the Alfred P. Sloan Foundation, the Data Foundation is publishing a new resource with an implementation strategy for a new government data service. Initially recommended by the U.S. Commission on Evidence-Based Policymaking, a data service would provide meaningful opportunities to produce insights for support improving government policies and responding to economic and health crises. During this one-hour webinar, the co-authors provided an overview of the need for a data service in the federal government, key considerations for developing such a service, and an implementation strategy for moving forward.
