Chief Data Officers in federal government agencies are maturing in their responsibility and capacity, a key observation from a new survey of Federal CDOs conducted by the Data Foundation in partnership with Grant Thornton. The experienced and seasoned cohort of CDOs are also demonstrating substantial progress in implementing the Federal Data Strategy and requirements from the Foundations for Evidence-Based Policymaking Act. We hosted a discussion on September 23 a to discuss the results of the new survey, how it compares to findings from last year, and recommendations for next steps in strengthening CDO capacity.
