Wednesday, Jan 17, 2024, at 1 pm, The Data Foundation and our community of partners hosted a virtual event to mark the fifth anniversary of the landmark Foundations for Evidence-Based Policymaking Act (Evidence Act) in the United States.

The Data Foundation and Deloitte hosted a virtual event on December 19, 2023, from 1:00 p.m.  - 2:00 p.m. EST to discuss the survey and the new report, Insights into Enabling Mission Success: A 2023 Survey of Federal Chief Data Officers. The event featured report authors and Chief Data Officers, the conversation focused on key findings and recommendations from the report, including themes related to becoming a data-driven organization, strengthening the CDO community, and leveraging innovative technology to support mission success.

The Data Foundation hosted a conversation on our newest research report, “Implementing the FDTA: From Data Sharing to Meaning Sharing,” with authors Dean Ritz, Senior Research Fellow at the Data Foundation, and Timothy Randle, Senior Advisory Consultant, on Tuesday, October 3, 2023.

The Office of Management and Budget proposed regulations to guide federal statistical agencies in building public trust. These regulations are open for public comment, providing an opportunity for stakeholders to offer feedback and engage with others. They will help ensure the reliable production of official statistics for decision-making and influence government data users, including the public and private sectors. Individuals from various sectors are welcome to participate in the event, but speaker slots are limited and require a summary submission by September 15th.

The Data Foundation hosted a webinar discussion about what a safe, effective, and inclusive digital identity should look like, and how it could serve the public.

The Data Foundation and the U.S. Government Accountability Office hosted this installment of the Issues in Evaluation Series on November 30, 2022. Speakers discussed audits and evaluations of DATA Act implementation and drew lessons to inform future studies that use data from USAspending.gov.
