Kris is the Chief Data Officer at the Conference of State Bank Supervisors.  In this role, Kris will support technology modernization efforts that drive data analytical capabilities and support the organization in prioritizing data and information needs of state regulators across the country.

For 2023, Kris served as the Chair of the Data Foundation Board and in 2024, the Treasurer.

Kris has almost two decades of experience in the federal government and he spent the last 5 years as the Chief Data Officer at the General Service Administration.  In this role, he developed and implemented an enterprise self-service data analytics platform that was managed by a multi-tiered governance model. Kris is a strong advocate for balancing technological advancements with cultural change and ensuring business and technology leaders collaborate at the highest levels of an organization.

Kris holds a B.S. from the University of South Dakota and a M.P.A  from the University of Nebraska at Omaha.
