Lynn Peng

Lynn Peng is the lead data privacy and intellectual property counsel at Workiva. She is a trusted advisor and solution-oriented business partner who oversees all matters related to data privacy and intellectual property globally. Her diverse experience includes data privacy compliance and risk mitigation, intellectual property protection, strategy and portfolio management, contract strategy, drafting and negotiation, and cross-functional team leadership. As a former engineer, Lynn uses her background in technology to provide guidance to colleagues in security, engineering, product, sales, procurement, marketing, and other teams. Lynn has earned the ANSI-accredited Certified Information Privacy Professional/United States (CIPP/US) credential through the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP).

Before joining Workiva, Lynn was an intellectual property associate at Drinker Biddle & Reath LLP (now Faegre Drinker Biddle & Reath LLP), a large national law firm. At the firm, she prosecuted patent applications in a wide range of technology areas, assisted in patent and trade dress infringement litigations, and drafted and negotiated a variety of information technology agreements. Prior to her legal career, Lynn worked for Intel Corporation as an electrical engineer.
