Mark Urbanczyk

Mark Urbanczyk leads the Data & Analytics Modernization practice within Deloitte’s Government & Public Services industry.  The practice focuses on helping federal agencies, state and local governments, and higher education institutions enhance their mission effectiveness through data- and AI-powered transformations.

Over the past 18 years, Mark has collaborated with various government clients to explore emerging analytic technologies and achieve innovative data driven results.  Mark has led numerous digital and technology transformation efforts across the Civilian, National Security, Defense, and commercial sectors. He has also helped numerous organization's evolve their operating model to become more insight driven, including the establishment of analytics centers of excellence and Chief Data Officer (CDO) offices.

Mark has a passion for innovation and for building the analytics capabilities for the organizations he supports.  At Deloitte, Mark has played a key role in the launch of the firm’s analytics offerings in the government market, played a lead role in the launch of the Insight Studio, and leads a number of next generation analytics investments.  Mark has also supported the growth of analytics capabilities at several academic institutions while serving on several boards, including the Business Analytics Consortium at the Robert H. Smith School of Business at the University of Maryland and the University of Virginia McIntire School Center for Business Analytics Board of Advisors.

Mark received a B.S. in Decision and Information Sciences from the University of Maryland.
